The Globe Theatre is very different in the way it worked compared to modern day Theatre. Most Theatres have a roof but the Globe Theatre had/has no roof. There was plenty of room to stand in the theatre just in front of the stage(the yard), the rich were the ones to sit on the balconies higher up and around the edge. Now days there is no yard and everyone sits anywhere no matter if you are rich or poor.
